Patrol police of Uzhgorod and Mukachevo continue to detect illegal gambling business

In one day, officers of the patrol police office receive about 100 calls. Police officers must respond appropriately to each of them: violation of traffic rules, accidents, family quarrel, reports a criminal nature.

Recently, citizens have been particularly concerned about the increase in the number of detected slot machines and rooms providing gambling services.

Sometimes patrol policemen receive reports from concerned citizens about the functioning of such establishements. Often, they detect such violations on their own. 

When they find out the fact of organization, conducting and providing of access to gambling, policemen always call an investigative team that document and investigate the case. However, the sad statistics show that often the investigation of the case has little to no progress. Computers, slot machines, PAY-Box terminals and other equipment are subject to seizure as the evidence in the case. However, the establishments continue operating under the guise of distribution of state lotteries and Internet cafes.

For example, on September 15, the information about the detection of the room with slot machines on Hrushevsky street in Uzhgorod appeared on the official Facebook page of the Office of Patrol Police in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo. This is not the first the fact of detection of slot machines on Hrushevsky street. However, the situation has not changed since the previous visit of the patrol policemen. The policeman, of course, recorded the violation of legislation on gambling and called investigators. However, the Office of the Patrol Police in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo does not know how long the investigative activities will take. Procedural control of the pre-trial investigation is currently being conducted by Uzhgorod City Police Department.
