On snowy Transcarpathian roads, policemen help to tow cars (PHOTO)

Due to heavy snowfalls and poor visibility on the roads, police officers ask all road users to refrain from long-distance trips in order to avoid troubles

Due to heavy snowfalls, storm warning is still in force in the region. Visibility on the roads during snowfall is minimal, causing a high risk of accidents, injuries and deaths. Therefore, police officers ask citizens, if possible, to refrain from long-distance trips.

10 police crews are engaged to ensure traffic safety on the roads of national importance. During the two days of bad weather, the police officers 11 times assisted drivers in towing cars out of snowbanks.

Please be informed that currently vehicular traffic on the road "Mukachevo-Rohatyn" is free without any restrictions. Four passes on the administrative border of Transcarpathian region are also open for all vehicles.
