On Mukachivska street in Uzhgorod, two pedestrian crossings do not have appropriate road signs. So, people risk to get into accident, because on the new asphalt drivers sometimes allow themselves to go faster than 60 kilometers per hour.
The pedestrian crossings are currently marked only by washed out crosswalk marking on the road, that is almost invisible from a car.
The Department of Municipal Economy of Uzhgorod City Council informed uzhgorod.in that the pedestrian crossing signs on Mukachivska street would be installed. Currently, they are already "on paper" – the documentation is prepared, now it has to be approved by the Traffic police.
So far, on Mukachivska street there are only two pedestrian crossings equipped with signs – near the "Juventus" center and near the traffic light at the intersection with Ankundinov street.
As you know, a year ago, this road was repaired.
