About 29 thousand children were rehabilitated in Transcarpathia this year. Almost 24 thousand of them are from privileged categories (orphans, children deprived of parental care, persons with disabilities, children from large and low-income families, children of killed ATO participants, children from IDP families).
In total, this year, almost 16 million hryvnias was allocated from the regional and local budgets for rehabilitation and recreation of children, which require special social attention and support.
This figures were announced by the Deputy Director of the Department of Social Welfare of the Regional State Administration Natalia Omelyanyuk during the seminar-meeting on the issues of children’s rehabilitation and recreation with the participation of the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Oleksandr Petik, heads of structural units of the regional administration and health centers of the region.
It was noted that specialists of the State Service for Consumer Protection of the Transcarpathian region conducted more than two hundred inspections and revealed 37 violations of the requirements of sanitary legislation. At the same time, no cases of infectious, mass diseases, food poisonings and other dangerous diseases in children’s recreation and rehabilitation establishments were recorded.
At the moment, the Regional program of children’s health improvement and recreation and the development of the network of children’s health and recreation facilities for 2018-2021 has been approved. The funding of the mentioned Program will be carried out at the expense of the regional, district and city budgets, and other sources.
The estimated total funding planned for 2018 is 80 million.
