Voyage failed: at the checkpoint “Vylok”, a Ukrainian tried to cross the border with someone else’s passport

At the checkpoint "Vylok", a Ukrainian presented someone else’s passport to the border guards.

Yesterday in the evening, at the checkpoint "Vylok", border guards of the Mukachevo detachment found a man who, when crossing the border, presented someone else’s passport for the check. The 30-year-old Ukrainian explained that he had mistakenly taken his neighbor’s passport while traveling abroad.

Since the man committed the offense under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine "Illegal crossing or attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine", a report of administrative offense was drawn up against him. The case was forwarded to court.

The offense is punishable by fine in the amount of 3400 to 8500 UAH or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
