Policemen were beaten in Transcarpathia - details

In Transcarpathia, two criminal proceedings were opened over resistance to the police. The offenders were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CCU 
According to the Communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police, resistance and infliction of injuries to police officers during the performance of their duties were documented in Irshava and Perechyn districts.
According to the police, last night around 03.15 am, doctors of the emergency department of Perechyn district hospital reported that a police officer with face injuries had been delivered to the hospital.
“It has been preliminarily established that in Perechyn on Uzhanska street, near a recreation establishment, a patrol police officer was injured while trying to stop the fight between young men. The men were acting aggressively, and one of them inflicted injuries to a policemen, which forced the police to use special devices. One of the violators, a 33-year-old resident of Perechyn district, was detained,” - the report reads.
Another incident happened last night, around 9 pm. A police officer was injured when checking on a call of a 56-year-old resident of Irshava.
“Police officer of the Irshava Police Station sufferred a shoulder injury from a drunk caller. The officer appealed to doctors for medical help,” - the police reported.
It is noted that both violators were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings over intentional infliction of bodily injury to an employee of a law enforcement agency under part 2 of Art. 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for a sentence in the form of restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for the same term.
