Otto Shpenyk, a well-known Transcarpathian academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, has passed away

Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Institute of Electronic Physics Otto Bartolomiyovych Shpenyk has died.

According to the academician’s family, Otto Shpenyk and his wife contracted coronavirus infection. On Monday, they were hospitalized with an exacerbation of the disease, and today Otto Bartolomiyovych’s heart stopped beating.
