In Transcarpathia, an ex-official was caught on granting public lands to private persons

So far, law enforcement officers have found at least eight cases of allocation of the state special forestry lands to residents of the district.
According to the Main Office of the National Police, it turned out that the civil servant, forming and approving land management documentation on the transfer of state-owned land to the ownership of citizens, issued an official document with false information. The official changed the data on the classification of land use, stating that the land is for agricultural purposes (for horticulture), knowing that the plot belonged to the forest lands and is used by the branch of Velyky Berezny State Special Forestry.
Thus, the civil servant, a 50-year-old resident of Velyky Berezny, granted public land plots to private individuals based on forged documents.
All plots are located outside the town of Velyky Berezny in the Termachuv tract.
Yesterday, September 17, the ex-official was notified of being suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Official forgery, ie issuance of knowingly false documents by an official).
