A plane crashed in Kharkiv region: September 26 was declared a day of mourning in Ukraine

In the evening of September 25, a plane crash occurred in the Kharkiv region.

The plane that crashed in Kharkiv region was performing a training flight with cadets of the Air Force of Ukraine.

According to the source, cadets of the Kharkiv University of the Air Force were carrying out a training flight on the plane.

 As a result of the plane crash near Chuhuyiv, 25 people died, criminal proceedings were initiated, the Office of the Prosecutor General reports

The report states: "According to preliminary data, at about 8:50 p.m. near Chuhuyiv, during the approach, the plane lost control and crashed near the highway. In addition to crew members, there were cadets of the Kharkiv University of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on board. As of this moment, it is known about 25 dead, 2 wounded in serious condition were taken to medical institutions, the search for the rest continues."

Prosecutors from the Kharkiv Garrison Military Prosecutor’s Office and investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation are working at the scene.

Priority investigative actions are underway. The circumstances, causes and conditions of the plane crash are being established. According to the Minister of Defense, the preliminary analysis suggests that the plane most likely hit the ground with the wing
