The fire occurred in Svalyava district. One person escaped, but another one died.

On September 24, at 00:53, the Rescue Service received a report of a fire on the territory of a private household in the village of Holubyne in Svalyava district. The fire broke out in the annex to a residential building, after which the fire spread to the barn and the house. A woman living in the house noticed the fire when the flames had completely engulfed the roof.

Three fire brigades from the 9th state fire and rescue unit of Svalyava and the local fire brigade of Polyana community were sent to the scene. At the time of their arrival, the area of ​​the fire was 150 square meters, and the ceiling in the annex to the house had completely burned down and collapsed. By joint efforts, rescuers contained the fire at 02:05 and completely eliminated it at 02:25. During the clearing of debris at the scene of the fire, they found the body of a 58-year-old man in the annex.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by law enforcement agencies. The amount of damage is also being determined, as the fire destroyed the roof of the house, the ceiling on the area of ​​30 square meters and household items. In addition, ​​120 sq.m. of the ceiling, household items and power tools were damaged.
