The Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute has a new rector

For a long time, the Ferenc Rakoczi Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute was without a rector after Ildiko Oros resigned.

And now the institute has a new rector.

It is professor of philology Stepan Chernychko, who after the resignation of Ildika Oros served as the acting rector of the institute, – the institute’s website informs.

During two months, candidates could submit their candidacies for the competition to elect the rector of the institute, but only Chernychko applied.

The commission considered his presentation and recognized him as the winner.

In his speech at the appointment ceremony, Stepan Chernychko said that the institute could soon receive international accreditation, which will significantly expand its potential.
