A 12-year-old thief was detained in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

The police have opened a criminal investigation into the theft of a wallet in Khust district. The police returned the stolen money to the victims. A pre-trial investigation is underway  
A resident of Khust district reported to the police that her wallet containing 46,600 hryvnias had been stolen. The woman told the police that the family had been saving the money for their child's surgery.  
On that day, the victim withdrew the funds from the account, after which she went to a local store. That's where she was robbed.  
The police watched video surveillance footage and within two hours found the person involved in the theft - a 12-year-old local resident.  
Thanks to the prompt response of the police, the stolen money was returned to the victims almost in full. The girl had only spent 600 hryvnias.  
Investigators are currently conducting a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
