Talking to God online: In Transcarpathia, church worships will be conducted in a video conference format

Conversations with God will now be taking place online. This was announced today at a briefing in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration by the head of the Department of Nationalities and Religions of the Regional State Administration, Yosyp Rezesh.
Yosyp Rezesh stressed that in such a difficult time as now, the church cannot stay away from the state.
We started talking about preventative measures back on March 3. We held meetings with members of the confessional spiritual council of Transcarpathia, asked to work with dioceses, parishes in order to fulfill the requirements set by the state.
"Some of our largest dioceses – the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese, the Reformed and Roman Catholic Churches – were among the first in Ukraine to announce early this week that they were conducting worship in video conference format," – Rezesh added.
Then, according to him, almost all the rest joined them, which means that they are concerned not only about the moral but also the physical health of people.
"Churches are helping the state today, and it is very comforting," – the head of the department said.
