Latest information on the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in Ukraine, Transcarpathia, Uzhgorod

1082 COVID-19 cases has been confirmed in Transcarpathia. 

"During the past day, May 24, 351 people sought emergency medical care, 6 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 7 were suspected of having COVID-19" – the director of the Health Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov said.

121 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

21 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 2 of them are medical workers, 4 are children.

Overall, as of 9:00 am on May 25, 2020, 1082 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 244 are health care workers and 70 are children. 9614 polymerase chain reaction tests have been carried out.

As for Uzhgorod, as of the morning of May 25, 363 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

5 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours.

121 people have recovered  

6 persons have died.
  
17 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 219 are on outpatient treatment.

1 Uzhgorod citizen is in self-isolation 

In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have made 1 visits, 4 samples of biological materials have been collected for polymerase chain reaction test. In total, since the onset of the disease, 367 visits have been made, 1874 samples of biological materials have been collected for PCR tests.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on May 25, there have been 21245 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 623 were fatal, 7234 patients have recovered. During the day, 259 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:

Chernihiv region – 131 cases. 
The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 25, 2020, the Center has received 477 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
