Fire in Uzhgorod. Photos, videos, details from the scene

Last night, at about 8.30 pm, many Uzhgorod residents were alarmed by a huge plume of smoke rising over the city and stretching to the north. It was visible from all areas of the city. Black, thick – it was clear that there was a serious fire going on somewhere.

So, journalist Kostyantin Cherkay immediately went at the scene to find out the details on the spot.

Firefighters were already working at the scene.

Firefighters said that no serious or critical facilities were affected – a large pile of garbage was burning near an old warehouse, which consisted, among other things, of a significant number of car tires. That’s why the smoke was so black.

However, up close, the fire looked impressive – it covered a fairly large area, and at dusk the flames seemed to reach the sky. That’s why a lot of people gathered around to take pictures, despite the remoteness of the fire from the usual places for walks.
