Due to heavy rains, that occured in Mizhhirya district yesterday, June 28, rapid river flows are carrying piles of garbage to neighboring countries.
Yesterday, in the period from 15:30 to 17:30, very active thunderstorm activity was recorded in Mizhhirya district, with hail, gusts of wind and heavy rainfall - 119 mm in 2 hours! This is almost the 20 days worth of rain in two hours. Of course, it resulted in rapid rises in water levels and even landslides.
As a result of people's inaction and irresponsibility, the environment and rivers, in particular, are overflowing with garbage.
Mykhailo Tsendra posted on Facebook a video from Mizhhirya district, which shows the rivers overflowing with garbage as a result of heavy rains.
“The flow of garbage, firewood, bottles, wheels in Soymy from Maydan, this is a catastrophe. A gift is going to Hungary,” - the author of the video wrote.
