Scientists are to be involved: the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration inspected landslides in Rakhiv district

The region received the first 30 million from the government for flood relieaf measures, 7 million will be transferred to people whose homes were affected by the disaster. One of the owners of the damaged house in Yasinya has already received 300,000 hryvnias. However, the man says, these funds will not be enough to buy a new house, recently housing prices in the village have risen. Oleksiy Petrov says they will be looking for additional options to provide housing to victims.

There is also a more global danger. Landslides continue, there is a threat of soil slide to the Chorna Tysa river. Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk experts have studied the dynamics of soil movement, but do not yet have a technical solution on how to stop landslides. The head of the region will get scientists involved in solving this problem, who may suggest world practices to combat similar landslides.
