More than 1.9 million hryvnias from Uzhgorod city budget was spent last year to clear illegal landfills (PHOTOS)

This is how much clearing of illegal landfills cost the city budget of Uzhgorod in 2019. This is one of the problems that still has not be solved. People bring to the containers not only household waste, but also construction waste, old furniture, bricks and tiles, tree branches, etc. Residents of the surrounding villages and various neighbourhoods of the city come and leave oversized waste, so in a day or two the cleaned sites turn into dumps. It pollutes the city, makes it untidy, and worst of all, it pollutes the environment, on which the health of each of us depends.

So please, if you need to remove oversized waste, use the services of carriers who have a license to remove and dispose of waste. If you have information about unscrupulous citizens who throw out such garbage, report them to the municipal guard department of the Uzhgorod city council.
