COVID-19: the situation as of July 16 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia, Ukraine

As of the morning of July 16, 689 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

7 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in Uzhgorod.

371 people have recovered  

13 persons have died.
  
11 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 294 are on outpatient treatment.

In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have collected 64 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction test. 

In Transcarpathia, during the past day, July 15, 353 people sought emergency medical care, 34 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 21 were suspected of having COVID-19.

655 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

54 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 9 of them are medical workers, 2 are children.

For the past 24hrs, one death among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. 

1405 patients have recovered.  

Overall, as of 9:00 am on July 16, 2020, 4166 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 573 are health care workers and 143 are children.

34243 polymerase chain reaction tests have been carried out.

In Ukraine, 800 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours

18 people with confirmed diagnosis have died. This is evidenced by the latest data published on the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

In total, during the entire period of the epidemic in Ukraine, according to the National Security and Defense Council, 56455 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed. 28931 people have recovered, 1445 people have died.

Most new cases were found in Lviv (197) region, the city of Kyiv (116), Rivne (70), Ivano-Frankivsk (64) and Odesa (61) regions.
