2 regional hospitals of Transcarpathia received sets of household appliances for grant money

The Transcarpathian Clinical Hospital has been accepting patients with COVID-19 for three months now. According to the director of the institution, Yuriy Yatsyna, the hospital needs both means of personal protection and household appliances: "We get air conditioners, refrigerators. We get such items as a coffee machine, water coolers. It will all be sent to the COVID-center, where our employees will be comfortable to work, to provide adequate care to our patients with COVID".

Currently, two institutions in Uzhgorod – the regional clinical hospital and the Center for Pulmonary Diseases – have received sets of household appliances: "3 air conditioners, a coffee machine, a washing machine, a refrigerator, 2 coolers and a microwave oven. We mostly help the first wave hospitals. But for about a month now, patients have been admitted to the 2nd and 3rd wave hospitals. We provide help in almost all districts. It includes disinfectant frames, disposable and reusable overalls, masks, oxygen concentrators."

Igor Vyshnyak, a representative of a company that disposes of USAID grant funds in Ukraine, says that this is the first aid to Transcarpathian regional hospitals within the framework of the program "Ukrainian Initiatives – Strengthening Public Trust" to fight coronavirus. District medical institutions of Transcarpathia will receive means of personal protection in 2 weeks.

At present, the Center for Pulmonary Diseases has received the same set of household appliances as the regional hospital.
