According to preliminary investigation, officials of the Yasinya forestry, improperly performing their official duties, allowed unauthorized felling of valuable trees on the territory of the state-owned enterprise.
According to preliminary estimates of experts, the illegal activities of the suspects in the proceedings caused damage to the state nature fund in the amount of about 7 million hryvnias.
As part of the criminal proceedings, three forestry officials were indicted.
In Mokra forestry, representatives of the state-owned enterprise facilitated illegal logging for further sale. The crime caused 2.5 million hryvnias in damage to the state.
Investigative and operational measures are being taken to bring to justice all persons involved in illegal activities.
