Telephone scammers tried to cheat an Uzhgorod resident

Criminals under the guise of bank employees make calls to mobile phones and ask for bank card number and other card details, which allow them to withdraw money from it
This was reported in social networks. In particular, Yuri Petrovich tells about one case of telephone fraud
“A man called me from the number 044 290 72 90, said he was a security officer of PUMB bank. Started telling something about a failed payment from the card. I was not in the mood and did not listen, just told him to get lost.
PS The phoned number is the bank's indeed. I called them, reported the case. I was explained that scammers use special programs that change the caller's number."
Banking representatives and law enforcement officials once again emphasize that you must never give personal data of a bank account (such as a card number and CVV code) to outsiders, even if they say they are bank employees over the phone.
Any banking operations should be carried out exclusively at the premises of the servicing bank. Fraud cases and attempts should be reported immediately to law enforcement.
