Overview of the hydrological situation in Transcarpathia

Over the past 24 hrs, rainfall of 5-20 mm has continued in the region, the most heavy one in the east – 21-48 mm.

On most rivers, water levels have risen by 0.3-1.4 m, on the Tisa, Dilove – Vylok section – 1.2 – 2.2m within the valley walls, in the lower reaches of the Borzhava – by 2.3m, water reaching the floodplain. During the day, partly cloudy weather is expected, occasional, sometimes significant rain, heavy rainfall is expected at night, in the highlands – sleet and snow. On most rivers, high water level will remain with slight fluctuations within the bedrock. In the lower reaches of the Borzhava and Latorytsya, the water levels will continue to rise above the levels as of 8.00 on February 3: Borzhava River – the village of V Remety – by 0.2-0.5 m, water will stay on the floodplain with the initial flooding of the farmlands in the villages of Zarichchya, Kamyanske, V.Komyaty, highways Shalanky – V.Komyaty; Latorytsya River – Chop, 0.8 – 1.3 m, initial outflow of water to the floodplain.
