On February 11, at 06:48, rescuers received a report of a fire in an apartment building on I. Franko street in the village of Chorna Tisa in Rakhiv district.
An 82-year-old resident of the village of Chorna Tisa lived alone in a one-storey wooden house. The daughter and the neighbors were unable to get the owner out, as the whole house was engulfed with fire.
The rescuers found the owner’s body after extinguishing the fire. Judging by the location of the victim, he woke up and tried to find a way out of the smoke-filled room, but apparently got poisoned with carbon monoxide and lost consciousness.
The fire destroyed the house and household items on the area of 25 square meters.
