A Transcarpathian will pay a quarter of a million hryvnias for the stolen gas

The suspicion was raised due to the mismatch between the size of the heated area and the volume of gas consumed. This led to a more thorough investigation, as a result of which it was found out that gas in that household had been stolen through a rubber hose. In addition to acting illegally, he also put his family, including young children, in danger.

In another case, a resident of Irshava district installed an unauthorized gas pipeline on his property. The commission established that he had caused to the enterprise losses in amount of UAH 222 thousand and ordered to repay them. As the man did not agree with this decision, the case was sent to court. The judges ruled in favor of the Zakarpatgaz JSC, and the resident had no choice but to comply. However, it was the man's son who repaid the debt…

In 11 months of 2020, unscrupulous Transcarpathians who committed gas thefts, have already reimbursed UAH 4 million in damages to the company. In November of this year alone, ten consumers paid UAH 200,000.
