Having arrived at the scene, the police found out that a minor resident of the village of Kireshi, Khust district, was injured. The boy with injuries was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the hospital. Investigators found out that the young man had been injured when a car hit him.
The police opened a criminal case under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over an accident with victims.
To establish the circumstances of the crime and to find the driver, law enforcement officers launched the "Interception" plan. Thanks to the coordinated actions of all the services involved in the search for the driver, the culprit was promptly found. They also found the BMW, which was involved in the accident. The charges against the 24-year-old resident of the village of Zabrid, who tried to avoid prosecution by hiding in another settlement, are being decided on.
The pre-trial investigation into the case is ongoing.
