COVID-19: the situation as of August 8 in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathia, Ukraine

As of the morning of August 8, 933 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

22 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in Uzhgorod.

495 people have recovered  

16 persons have died.
  
26 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 396 are on outpatient treatment.

In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have collected 97 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction test. 

In Transcarpathia, during the past day, 923 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing were collected.

82 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19, 8 of them are medical workers, and 3 are children.

For the past 24hrs, 2 deaths among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have been reported. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 218 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died. 

2399 patients have recovered.  

Overall, as of 9:00 am on August 8, 2020, 5697 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 728 are health care workers and 314 are children.

In Ukraine, 1489 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours

This is evidenced by the latest data published on the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

In total, during the entire period of the epidemic in Ukraine, according to the National Security and Defense Council, 79750 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed.

Most new cases were found Lviv, Odesa regions, and in the city of Kyiv (101).
