Today, the Bokshay Art Museum opens doors for Uzhgorod residents and guests of the city

Today is the 1126th anniversary of Uzhgorod – Open Door Day in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum.

From 11 am to 7 pm, you can see the permanent museum exhibitions: "Transcarpathian Icon", "Exhibition of Mykola Hlushchenko’s Works", as well as the exhibition that started on the Independence Day of Ukraine – "Embroidered Miracle".

In particular, the collection of works "Embroidered Miracle" presents folk motifs in the works of Transcarpathian classical artists and contemporary authors. The display features embroidery, ceramics, woodcarving, and also works by Yosyp Bokshay, Adalbert Erdelyi, Vasyl Gabda, Havrylo Hlyuk, Fedir Manaylo, Andriy Kotska, Ernest Kontratovich, Zoltan Sholtes, Volodymyr Mykyta, Ivan and Larysa Brovdi, Francisk Erfan, Vladislav Gabda, Taras Usik, Boris and Victoria Kuzma, Yuriy Bodnar, Lyudmila Korzh-Radko, Olena Kondratyuk, Eduard Prikhodko and other artists.

Among the permanent exhibitions, you can see the works made between the 17th and the middle of the 20th century – Ukrainian, Hungarian, Western European art and more.
