Three residents of Mukachevo, who were caught almost red-handed, are suspected of a number of crimes.

According to the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathia, around 3:40 am, law enforcement officers received a report of a break-in at a payment terminal in the village of Velyatino in Khust district. A certain amount of money was stolen from there.

The policemen, who immediately arrived at the scene, found out that three people were involved in the crime. They were detained shortly after.

Subsequently, the police identified them; they were residents of Mukachevo – aged 24 to 31 years. Law enforcement officers also added that they had criminal records.

"They were previously involved in drug trafficking cases. Their car VAZ-2110 was taken to the impound lot," – the policemen said.

They are also suspected of committing similar crimes, that is, I-Box robberies.

"As of now, there have been 13 cases. The criminals have committed crimes in Irshava, Vynogradiv districts, the city of Mukachevo and the regional center. The incident, which happened in Uzhgorod, was widely discussed online, as it was the theft from a terminal at the bus stop on Mytna street,” – the policemen said.

Criminal proceedings under Article 194 and Part 3 of Article 185 of the CCU, ie intentional damage to property and theft with break-in, have been opened.

The men were detained under Article 208 of the CPC and put into custody.
