Medieval Transcarpathian castle was recreated in a three-dimensional game environment (VIDEO)

Transcarpathian Ivan Ilko recreated the restored castle in his thesis project exhibiting a playable game 3D environment, showcasing a reconstruction of a semi-ruined medieval "Nevytske" Castle, in the Carpathian Mountains, Ukraine.
Ivan Ilko told about his project on the artstation, where it was published.
According to him, everything in the level except torches with fire (taken from UE4 dungeon level) was created and developed by himself, from concept to finished playable level.
“I gained a lot of knowledge during this project, and i am very proud to present you the final results. This project showcases my skills of doing concepts and sketches, modeling, texturing and lighting. Music was composed specifically for this scene by amazing composer Andrew Arnautov. For more details and playable game demo feel free to contact me!" – the author wrote.
Ivan Ilko also noted that the creation of such environments demonstrates potential for widespread use within games, educational programs, and in the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage.
