A meeting of the Working Group on Joint Grant Project “Ensuring Public Safety through Law Enforcement Cooperation and Use of Advanced Video Surveillance Systems in Uzhgorod and Satu Mare” (Safe Cities) was held today in Uzhgorod City Council.
The purpose is to discuss the procedure of concluding a grant agreement under the Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Program, the possibilities of expanding cooperation and writing further joint projects.
The implementation of the project involves establishing cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Uzhgorod and Satu Mare, conducting a series of trainings for law enforcement agencies and municipal services, technical support of the situational monitoring center in Uzhgorod for emergency response center of Transcarpathia (20 surveillance cameras, server and software) to monitor the situation on the city streets.
