The US Vice-Consul in Ukraine visited the Transcarpathian Migration Service

Following the results of the meeting, they agreed to continue cooperation on the issue of compliance with the migration laws of Ukraine by US citizens. 
 The Vice-Consul of the US Embassy in Ukraine Armen Antonyan met with the management of the Main Office of the SMS in Transcarpathian region. The visit was informative. The attendees exchanged information on the migration activities of both countries. In particular, they discussed the rules of stay of foreigners in the territory of our country, peculiarities of the procedure for issuance of biometric residence certificates, prolongation of the term of stay and responsibility for migrant offenders. 
Introducing the diplomat to the aspects of national migration legislation, the first deputy head of the Main Office of the SMS in the region Oleksandr Berdar noted that in Transcarpathia, US citizens are among the most conscientious foreign migrants. Nineteen Americans are married to Ukrainian citizens and are documented with permanent residency certificates. Another 67 U.S. citizens are staying in the region temporarily. In addition, most of them (40 persons) have temporary residence permits due to work in religious organizations.
