In Transcarpathia, customs officers prevented the illegal transportation of tire patches (PHOTOS)

These actions have signs of violation of customs rules under Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. 
According to the State Fiscal Service in Transcarpathian region, customs officers seized almost 144 kg of rubber patches for tire repair. 
“The goods were being imported by a citizen of Ukraine through the customs post "Tisa". The Ukrainian was returning from Italy by a minibus MERCEDES SPRINTER. 
The citizen was undergoing customs control in the "red corridor". In the declaration, he entered his passport details, as well as information on 6 bags with personal belongings. During the oral questioning, the citizen confirmed the information provided by him in the customs declaration, and denied carrying any other goods, including those prohibited or restricted for trasportation across the customs border of Ukraine,” – the report reads. 
During the customs control of the vehicle and the personal belongings of the citizen, the customs officers found undeclared products made in India, in particular 315 packs (10,650 pieces) of natural rubber patches Bestpatch used for repairing cuts on all types of tires. 
Thus, a citizen of Ukraine failed to provide accurate information about the goods being transported by him across the customs border of Ukraine, which are subject to a written declaration and taxation.   
The report on violation of customs rules was made, the patches were seized until the court decision.
