In Transcarpathia, a drunk driver hit a man

Tyachiv district police are establishing the circumstances of an accident in the village of Vonihovo, which resulted in a pensioner being hosptalized 
In the village of Vonihovo, a 29-year-old driver of a VAZ, while being intoxicated, seriously injured a cyclist. The driver was detained. 
On November 14, at 17:46, the police received a report of an accident with victims in the village of Vonihovo. The report stated that the driver of a car had hit a cyclist, who was taken away from the scene of the accident by an ambulance. 
At the scene, the investigation team found out that at about 5.30pm, a 29-year-old resident of the village of Dulovo, while being intoxicated, driving a car VAZ, drove into the oncoming lane, where he hit a 73-year-old cyclist. As a result of the accident, the pensioner was injured and was hospitalized in the ICU. 
The driver of the car was tested. It was found out that the man was intoxicated. The car of the culprit of the accident was taken to the impound lot, and the 29-year-old driver was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine and taken to the temporary detention facility. 
A pre-trial investigation was initiated under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie violation of traffic safety rules with victims.
