This Friday, the festival "History: UA" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Carpathian Ukraine begins in Uzhgorod (PROGRAM)
This Friday, the nationwide festival dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Carpathian Ukraine begins in Uzhgorod.
During two days, on March 22 and 23, scholars, publishers, writers, media artists, directors will be popularizing the knowledge about the past in their own interpretations.
The grand opening of the festival with the participation of the organizers and honorary guests will take place on March 22 at 13:00 in the atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. On the same day, there will be the presentation of information and education stands "Carpathian Ukraine", the seminar "Without bromine and naphthalene. How to talk to the youth about the past" and the round table "History of Ukrainian statehood in Transcarpathia. How to make the past popular" with the participation of scientists, journalists, ethnographers.
Also at 17:00, in the press center of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, there will be the presentation of the journal "Local History", and at 18:30, the film "Callsign Banderas" will be screened in the premises of the Uzhgorod National University administration building. After the movie show, viewers will be able to chat with the cast and crew of the film.
The festival will end on March 23 with a big gala concert on Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod with the participation of the bands ROCK-H and KOZAK SYSTEM.
The "History:UA" festival, under the slogan "History without bromine and naphthalene", was founded in 2017 by the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance. There have already been three thematic events - two in Kyiv and one in Zaporizhzhya.
