Friday, March 15, when the 80th anniversary of the Carpathian Ukraine will be celebrated, will be a day off in Transcarpathia. The relevant order was signed by the head of the RSA Hennadiy Moskal.
– On March 15, 1939, the Seim of the Carpathian Ukraine proclaimed state independence and adopted the constitution in which the Ukrainian language was declared as the state language, blue and yellow as the state flag, an image of a bear with blue and yellow stripes and a trident as the national emblem, and "Shche ne vmerla Ukraina" as the national anthem, – H. Moskal said. – This is one of the most prominent dates in the history of Transcarpathia, and now this day deserves to be a day off. Moreover, this year it will be a jubilee anniversary, which will be celebrated at the state level, and in Transcarpathia – with the participation of the country’s leadership.
According to the order of the head of the Regional State Administration, heads of district administrations, enterprises, institutions and organizations are advised to move the working day from Friday, March 15 to Saturday, April 6.
