Odesa law enforcement officers detained a gang of drug traffickers headed by a Transcarpathian (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

A 42-year-old Transcarpathian, together with two residents of Odesa, would receive cocaine from Europe and distribute it to various regions of Ukraine.

According to the Police of the Odesa region, officers of the Department of Internal Security and the special police battalion detained the drug traffickers red-handed, during the sale of cocaine at more than 100 thousand hryvnias.

Law enforcers found out that the gang of drug traffickers was organized by a 42-year-old Transcarpathian who, together with a 43-year-old and a 50-year-old residents of Odesa, was distributing cocaine throughout Ukraine.

The drug traffickers organized a drug delivery channel across the state border to Uzhgorod, from where cocaine would be transported to Kyiv, Lviv and Odesa.

During a series of authorized searches, law enforcement officers seized from the offenders 13 thousand dollars, 12 thousand euros, 14.5 thousand hryvnias, jewelry, more than 4 thousand counterfeit dollars, weapons, ammunition, explosives and substances, 2 cars BMW X5, a TOYOTA RAV-4, forged and genuine documents, as well as cocaine.

Currently, an investigation has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 307 (illegal manufacture, production, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

All three detainees are in custody.
