Snake in the center of the city: in Khust, residents noticed a “checkered” reptile (VIDEO)

Facebook user Svitlana Rosokha wrote about an unexpected meeting.

– We saw this snake in the Khustets river near the district court, – the post reads.

If you look closely, in the photos and the video, you can see that the snake has checkered pattern on its back. In fact, it is an ordinary water snake. This is a completely harmless species. The water snake swims in the water and catches fish.  In addition to fish, the water snake feeds on tadpoles, frogs, mice and is harmless to humans.
