In Mizhhirya district, a former village head will be tried

Mizhhirya department of the Khust local prosecutor's office approved and sent to the court an indictment in a criminal proceeding against the former chairman of one of the village councils of the district, who, abusing his position, forged documents and transferred to private hands 0,3082 hectares of the territorial community lands. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office in Transcarpathian region.

During the pre-trial investigation it was established that the suspect had signed and sealed the decision of the session of the village council and the state deed of title to land, although this decision had not been considered and passed at the relevant session of the village council.

Subsequently, on the basis of these forged documents, 0,3082 hectares of land was illegally alienated from the territorial community.

The actions of the suspect are subject to Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (preparation and issuance by an official of knowingly false official documents) and Part 2 of Article 344 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of official position, which caused grave consequences for public interests).
