In the parliament, illusions get shattered very quickly. You work in tough conditions – people’s deputy

In an interview with the publication Zakarpattya online, MP Robert Horvat told about his work in the Verkhovna Rada, his opinion about party leaders and the environment in which he has to work for the adoption of the laws necessary for Transcarpathia and the country.

"I’m a little cautious about the leaders. I started my political career with UDAR, when Klitschko had a chance to become president, and I thought I would be able to put all my ideas to life with his support. But Klitschko decided not to run for president, and half of Ukraine voted for Poroshenko," – Horvat said. – "And you are a deputy. You come to the parliament with concrete ideas. You know that they are important for your region and for the people. But illusions get shattered rather quickly and you begin to understand that you will have to work in tough conditions. And the leaders do not want to help you."

Horvat remembers, in particular, how "he could not influence the appointment of the governor, which eventually did not benefit Transcarpathia."
