A Transcarpathian athlete won the first in the history of Ukraine medal at the World Snowboarding Championship

Ukrainian athlete Annamari Dancha won silver medal at the World Snowboarding Championship and became the vice-champion of the world in parallel slalom. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee. The competition is taking place in the American Park City (Utah).

This is the first medal at the world snowboarding championships in the history of Ukraine.

According to the Sportarena , this is the best result in the career of the 28-year-old Ukrainian athlete. She had never finished above the 15th place in the parallel slalom at world championships. And her best result in any discipline had been the 6th place at the same world championship.

In the final, the Ukrainian athlete was 0.85 seconds behind the snowboarder from Switzerland - Julie Zogg. Representative of Germany Ramona Teresa Hoffmeister finished the third.
