Border guards of the Chop detachment found a vehicle wanted by Interpol as stolen.
On February 1, a minibus "Mercedes Sprinter" driven by a 22-year-old resident of Chernivtsi arrived at the checkpoint "Tisa" to enter to Ukraine. During the check of the documents for the vehicle, the border guard found it in the Interpol database. Border guards reported that fact to representatives of the Ukrainian Interpol Bureau and the National Police. At the request of the border guards, the Ukrainian Interpol Bureau informed that the Mercedes Sprinter made in 2006 had been stolen in Italy two months ago.
The found minibus and the documents were handed over to the National Police officers. The driver is suspected of a criminal offense stipulated in Article 289 of the CCU "Illegal possession of a vehicle" – the press service of the Chop border guard detachment informs.
