A film about Transcarpathian migrant workers was presented in Beregovo

The film was funded with the assistance of the Government of Hungary, the Mukachevo.net reported.

The Beregovo Hungarian Drama Theater hosted the premiere of the feature film "Este hivlak" ("I’ll call you in the evening"). The authors of the film are a local couple Bunda (Rita – director, Szabolcs – cameraman). It is a family melodrama about ordinary Transcarpathian families, with their everyday joys and concerns. The film was funded with the assistance of the Government of Hungary.

"In 2017, we made our first film – about the prominent surgeon and wine maker Bertolon Linner. Now, we decided to focus on another topic. The film is about Transcarpathians who are forced to leave their homes and go abroad to earn money for the family. We invited our actors from the Hungarian theater to star in the film. We hope that the movie will appeal to viewers of all ages," – Szabolcs Bunda said.

They plan to translate the film with subtitles (including Ukrainian) and sent it to several European film festivals. Also, it is soon planned to screen it in different settlements of Transcarpathia.
