A project for children with cancer is being launched in Transcarpathia

On Tuesday, December 17, at 14.00, a press conference will be held in the Uzhgorod Press Club, the main topic of which will be the implementation of the joint Slovak-Ukrainian project "Joint Initiative on Improving the Quality of Life of Children with Cancer in Transcarpathia, Kosice and Presov Regions". The project is being implemented by the NGO “Helping Light” (Kosice) and NGO “Board for the Protection of Patients and Healthcare Professionals” (Transcarpathia) with EU co-financing under the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Border Cooperation Program for 2014-2020. 
During the next two years, there will be training and exchange of experience of medical workers from Transcarpathia and Slovakia working with cancer children, establishment of the first time in Transcarpathia rehabilitation unit for cancer patients at the remission stage at the “Malyatko” sanatorium. And also the latest and highly specialized equipment for diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of children with oncopathology will be purchased for 4 medical institutions of Transcarpathia.
