Folk festivities in Maly Berezny

On August 11, the fourth district festival of folk crafts and folk art of Uzhok valley “Berezny fair” took place at the stadium of the village of Maly Berezny in Velyky Berezny district.
The organizer is the Agency for Regional Development and European Integration of the Velyky Berezny District Council.
This year’s holiday was attended by representatives of the authorities, deputies of different levels, diplomats, artists, guests from Poland and Slovakia, as well as neighboring regions of Ukraine. Those were the deputy head of the executive committee of the regional council Yevheniy Kibza, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mykhailo Laba, the chairs of district councils: Svalyava – Myroslava Lyvch, Vynogradiv – Vitaliy Lyubka, Perechyn – Mykhailo Laskin. The event was opened by the chairman of the Velyky Berezny district council Yaroslav Shukal, the head of the district state administration Vasyl Kiryk, the head of the village of Mały Berezny Ivan Mitsoda. The atmosphere was warm and family-friendly.
A solemn costume party accompanied by folk musicians lifted everyone’s spirit. The participants viewed the exhibition of works of folk craftsmen, joined the master classes on folk crafts, enjoyed performances by amateur groups. The highlight of the program was the performance of the band Marina and Co and the Honored Artist of Ukraine Ivan Pylypets.
In the evening, participants were entertained by colorful attractions, including a fire show and bonfire.
