A number of thematic exhibitions will be presented in Uzhgorod on the eve of Independence Day

On August 23, in the Uzhgorod gallery, members of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine will congratulate Ukraine on the festive day. People's artists Volodymyr Mykyta, Boris Kuzma, Taras Danylych, Honored Artists Mykhailo Peyter, Vladislav Gabda, Taras Usyk, Odarka Dolgosh-Sopko, Olena Kondratyuk, Tetyana Sopilnyak, Mykola Shete, Andreya Pauk and other known artists will present their selected works. The opening of the exhibition will take place at 15.00. 
Transcarpathian Regional Local Lore Museum on August 23 will invite the visitors to see the new exhibits displayed on the occasion of Independence Day of Ukraine, as well as the thematic book exhibition "Sovereign Ukraine - From Origins to the Present", which will open at 13.00.
The Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life in the pre-holiday days will delight residents and guests of Uzhgorod with three vernissages. On August 21 at 16.00 - an exhibition of works of masters of decorative and applied art of Transcarpathia "From folk sources". Gisella Kupash, Oksana Masalovich, Petro Shehda, Oleksandr Senko, Maria Yalova, Maria Kupar, Emma Levadska and other well-known masters will present works in different types and genres, such as weaving, embroidery, carving, ceramics, etc. The exhibition is traditionally held on the Independence Day of Ukraine by the museum workers and specialists of the Transcarpathian regional organizational and methodical center of culture. And already on August 22, there will be the opening of the exhibition "Inspired by doll" (beginning at 15.00) and a personal exhibition of paintings by Serhiy Hlushchuk "A New Meeting" (beginning at 16.00).
In the Transcarpathian Art Museum, on August 22, they will present the exhibition "Embroidered Miracle. Motifs of Folk Embroidery in the Works of Transcarpathian Artists", which will open at 15.00. In addition, on August 20, the book exhibition on the occasion of the Independence Day will open in the rooms of the "Museum of Transcarpathian Literature" (newly established branch of the Regional Art Museum). After the solemn presentation, there will be a round table discussion "The heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people for Independent Ukraine in the works of Transcarpathian writers from the 1920s to the present". Creators, scholars and fans of Transcarpathian literature are invited to participate. The beginning is at 16.00. Source.
