Traditionally, during one of the most beautiful seasons – mass sakura flowering – residents and guests of the city have the opportunity to enjoy the productions of the leading theaters of Ukraine. And this year’s festival was opened by actors of the Lviv National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Maria Zankovetska Albina Sotnikova and Yaroslav Kirhach.
The talented guests presented on the small stage of the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater the performance "Three Loves" (I. Duncan, I. Schneider), directed by Taisia Litvinenko.
Love and dance are words that briefly describe the play "Three Loves of Isadora Duncan."
The festival is supported by the Uzhgorod City Council. The Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Bilak welcomed guests from Lviv in the city on the Uzh, thanked the actors for the wonderful performance and for the emotions caused by the sad love stories. Oleksandr Bilak also gave Albina Sotnikova and Yaroslav Kirhach a diploma of the laureate of the festival "Under the cherry blossom" and gifts.
Vasyl Mariukhnich, the artistic director of the Transcarpathian Drama Theater, gave the actors the symbol of the festival – statuette made by sculptor Oleksandr Sopilnyak.
The festival will last until April 18th.
