Uzhgorod police caught a minor thief

Law enforcers of Uzhgorod district police department identified a young thief, who had stolen a camera from his relatives. An investigation over the theft was initiated.

The police received from a 23-year-old resident of the village of Storozhnytsia in Uzhgorod district a report about the theft of a "Nikon" camera worth about 7 thousand hryvnias. 
Officers of the Uzhgorod District Police Station arrived at crime scene to check the information and the range of people who may be involved in the theft.

As the police found out, the camera had been stolen by a 14-year-old nephew of the applicant who lives in the same house.

During the investigation, the investigators found out that the boy had stolen the camera to pay off his debts to his friends.
An investigation over theft under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft) was initiated. Law enforcers are looking for the person who took the camera from the minor. The case is under investigation.
