Today, they have begun removing decorations and illumination from the main Christmas tree of Uzhgorod on Teatralna Square, and then it will be dismantled. The trunk of the tree will be cut for firewood and will be given to poor Uzhgorod residents who have applied to the City Council for wood. The branches will be chipped, and the "UzhAgroMix" will then use the chips for fertilizers and as decor in green areas, flower beds, ring roads, gardens and parks.
Christmas trees in educational, medical and other public institutions of the city will also be used for chips.
The city authorities ask all Uzhgorod residents: if you had real Christmas trees at home, take them to garbage containers, where they will be collected by employees of the company "AVE-Uzhgorod".
