Annamari Dancha-Chundak and Ivan Kovbasnyuk are members of the Ukrainian Olympic team at the Games that will open in South Korea on February 9.

The well-known athlete has good chances, Annamari is now among the twenty best snowboarders in the world, and a few days ago made it to the top 10 at the World Cup. This is the third Olympics in her career. Annamari is a multiple champion of Ukraine, junior champion of the world (2010), international competitor, participant of the European Youth Olympic Festival, multiple participant of European and World Championships. Having returned from maternity leave in the winter of 2017, she won her first award for the national team of Ukraine at the 2017 World Winter Universiade in Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Annamari is listed in our ranking of the leading athletes of Transcarpathia.

Ivan Kovbasnyuk is an Alpine skier, a pupil of the Yasinya ski school of the Olympic reserve, and was already solemnly sent off to the Olympics in his hometown, in Hutsul dress.

This is the first Olympics for the Transcarpathian.

His fellow countrymen wrote: "The NOC Executive Committee approved the list of 57 nominees for participation in the Winter Olympic Games - 2018, which will take place in the city of Pyongchang - South Korea. The list of the prospective group (skiing) is topped by our countryman from the mountain town of Yasinya, the pride of our region, the pride of Ukraine, the hero of our time - Ivan Kovbasnyuk."

We wish our athletes a decent performance at the main sporting competition of the planet and, of course, victories!
